Product Overview

In this undisguised case, Don Kelly is charged with creating a new organization to build the navigational and target-acquisition systems for the U.S. Army's new attack helicopter, the Comanche. The Department of Defense requires that the production system use concurrent engineering in order to reduce overall costs and deadline overruns. Several aspects of Martin Marietta, including culture, leadership style, historical organization, and work-force skills, combine to make Kelly's task a difficult one.
